The Mind Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

The Mind

Rating: 5.0

I sigh in heart for all that's gone;
Or, what dreamt, and yet to come;
I catch myself in a silent moan:
Reflect on it, and then overcome.

I do not know what for I long…
Could be the past, or something I expect?
Perhaps, the effect of a thought
Whishing in action to manifest…

This vivid state, when pensive,
On waves of thoughts cradles the Mind,
But when at peace, meditative,
It turns to grey: it's almost blind.

As I return from nothingness,
I find myself in a different state;
All that mind is: —nothingness:
No sigh in heart, nor thought debate.

Wishful thinking and past regret intertwined with sublime thoughts and your artistic endeavor elevates this poem into an another realm altogether. Great write.
