The Mind's Soul - Poem by Ori Livson
My aftershave seeps
there’s a black mist
something warping a timed, special arrival.
Spaced gates about poised
Unconcealed, yet you seem so far.
Pictures are great
although who knows
what I've already seen
could've been in a heartbeat scared
beauty could glow so exuberant
over lights so nervously peered
soullessly, where not even lights
have shown beauty compromisable for romance?
The sight sunk and degraded
these falling perceptions
I called in loveable hope.
If love couldn't make sense
is my fear wrong all of a sudden?
This starved Sense I always feel you know
is the air I breathe, not by will.
My mind's lungs take floods of thoughts
you hopefully see as to think like me.
Read this stuttered
other expressions should enlighten worlds.
It'd be inverted where love is harmony
... I'll admit that's not my want.
Hate that I withhold reason and sense
my calling doesn’t mind that... believe me.
Well so then will you leave me
Swirl me away far from your memories
still... a future will be.
One day my heart will be above 'I'
One day I'll want to know who 'you' really are
but to think 'you' I hold is true... heals.
~ If you take every fourth word in the poem (not including the first word of each stanza or the last 1-3 words after the last taken word in a stanza) it says:
there's something special about you.
Although I've been so scared and nervously not shown that romance and falling in love is all i know.
I will take you to other worlds where I'll not withhold.
My mind will swirl from a heart I want 'you' to hold.
