The spark that was doused before it could ignite,
leaving the womb of birth in eternal darkness,
that moment, that dark second
pushed her to fly from the window above,
never realising the lifelong pain
she would etch upon the hearts of those she loved.
A moment that wiped away their smiles forever,
leaving them perplexed
at the crossroads of the journey ahead,
tormented by the thought:
Perhaps we should have heeded the warning signs.
And as the years unfold,
they carry the weight of that one fleeting moment,
a silence filled with questions,
a wound that refuses to heal.
For one life slipped away in a moment,
but the sorrow remained,
draining the very juice of life
from those left behind.
