The Moment I Met Poem by Kewayne Wadley

The Moment I Met

We met in a quartet of music,
The beautiful lines strum with the steps of our feet,
We were the notes that danced across the page,
Leaving behind an expression, never to be forgotten from throbbing hearts.
The embrace of her hand lost in mine,
We danced for hours.
The warmth of each note left behind.
Not much else mattered,
The kiss of our feet felt between the blank space.
The smile of open hearts caught in the euphoria of jazz hands,
Tilted brims and twirling dresses.
We dressed ourselves in each others eyes but laid naked in each others hearts.
The stringed quartet of warm fingers
Of the music heard in each others head.
I'll never forget the moment I met her
