The Old Writer

Yesterday I met
The old writer,
He was extremely wretched,
He said to me,
'I have nothing to say
And nothing to write now,
Still...........
I have to say a lot
And write a lot,
That's my all-important task
Till the end, '
I was very much impressed,
I thanked him
With my heart's content,
The great author smiled,
Tears ran down his wrinkled cheeks.
