The Other Side Poem by Craig Moses Uche

The Other Side

Rating: 5.0

I'm staggering in the mist
Of two opinions
The first assumes a mist
The other seeks a pious union

I struggle to ascertain
What the first seeks to achieve
I'm laid siege by it's stain
Now I'm seemingly deceived

Unable to comprehend
Why the second sought to insist
Broken by the thought of it's end
It my heart could not resist

Now I'm seemingly secluded
Unable to embrace absolution
Both thoughts have colluded
To leave me in delusion

Now I'm at the other side
Where nobility is refused
And there's a rough tide
That makes integrity stand bemused

There the sun eluminates
The colour of the moon
And the stars mitigates
A sober tune

Yet my thoughts are in coma
At the scent
Of each redolent aroma
And on each it placed it's ascent

Alas! I'm confused
Because haven chose both
They each refused
Now I'm alone on this boat

On the road to the other side
Haven chose both sides
