Brother In Arm
At this flimsy arcade
The sky lost it's barricades
As battle cries assumed a mist
Yet to go with you I must insist
With no guns for this parade
And no leather boots for this crusade
Yet here I am
As your brother in arm
If the sounds of guns
Did put men on the run
For you I'd stand as barricade
And on my chest I'd bear the raid
Though the roars of bombs
Threatens to leave you as crumbs
Yet I'll be your shield
So that your life would never yield
Yes the venoms of warfare
Did steal through the air
Yet for you I bore it on my thigh
So your honor would not die
For not the double echoes of guns
Or the throbs of bombs
Will ever stop my relentless pursuit
To give you a last salute
For there's nothing of greater value
Nothing I'd place in lieu
Than to stand at ease
At death's tempest tease
For I know(in that eulogy) :
If men sang steadfast hymns
Yet your heart will seek this theme:
'Yet here I am
As your brother in arm'
So lay down your arm
And be my brother in arm
If the sounds of guns Did put men on the run For you I'd stand as barricade And on my chest I'd bear the raid-----It is a war against war, a song of peace that will brave the bullets and disarm the arms;

Beautiful. " lay down your arm And be my brother in arm" is the advice of the poet to the world as a whole. Loved it.
