The public library, books galore
stacked on shelves, ceiling to floor
Books for adults, romance and travel,
books with crimes to unravel
Health books and life stories,
books of past tragedies and glories

A range of audio books on CD's
to listen to at your ease
Reference books to look up facts,
a quiet place to read and relax
National and local newspapers and magazines
Internet users browse computer screens
On one side a well stocked junior section,
books are treasured with affection

I get a library card for my new grandson
A lifelong gift of knowledge and fun
