The Rain Is Gone Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Rain Is Gone

Rating: 5.0

The musical rambling is gone
From my roof top and window pane
The sky displays the washed
Sun with the passing of torrential rain

Trees wake up green and fresh
Grasses have not gone completely dry
The air is still wet and sticky
In the sky pieces of dark clouds lazily fly

Days of music and dance are
Over and now time has come to greet
The cold wind that brings
With it winter into the valley and street

Dance of raindrops on leafs,
Buds and petals will be seen no more
Missing sight of birds shaking
Wings in pools mind upwards will not soar
