The Sad Moon

The moon is lonely today
Not a piece of cloud to
Accompany it in its journey
To the edge of the earth
Not a star to be seen around
With their glittering robes
To follow the Moon as they
Do at night in glee and mirth
It is perhaps seeking its love
With a pious hope all through
The galaxies shedding beams
Of light to show it its path
