The Sad Old Woman Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Sad Old Woman

Rating: 5.0

She is funny
She enjoys her time
Sitting at the door
Darning clothes and
Humming songs of love
Famous during her youth

She has dense hair
White and disheveled
She loves her hair for
She has been wearing it
Like that since her youth

Birds come to sit
At her feet; they fight
And chirp; she gives them
Rice and they would not fly
Away; she likes birds for
Their freedom as she has been
Living like them since her youth

Now the sun is setting
Its glare reflects from her
Eyes and she sucks blood
From her finger and washes
The needle as it is time for
Him to return whom she has
Been waiting since her youth

Experience of life through time in favor of a woman is so impressively and cutely delineated. An amazing poem is beautifully shared. Five stars.
