The Science Of Love Poem by ENOCH JOHN

The Science Of Love

Rating: 4.5

I sit at the computer just to write this poem,
For to me to write a poem is to do my duty,
But what can I write that Shakespeare, Keats, Shelley,
Or Milton or one of our modern poets like Heaney and Walcott
Haven't written? But, yes! I can still write of love,
For there is always something or the other to say about love.
Butterflies in her stomach when she sees the man she loves,
Or for him, being such an eloquent speaker yet he fumbles at her sight.
I wonder if an Einstein could have explained the science of love?

Butterflies in her stomach when she sees the man she loves, Or for him, being such an eloquent speaker yet he fumbles at her sight. I wonder if an Einstein could have explained the science of love That would have been better. There would have been a chapter on love taught to us at the university. Thanks for the beautiful idea and this nice poem. 10 marks. Thanks for sharing the poem. Subhas
