A dream's seed awakens inside you—
carried on the breath of a wandering wind,
from distant fields
left behind decades ago.
It was never a secret
too difficult to utter,
nor did it require a voice
draped in the robes of eloquence,
nor a first-class ticket
to cross the borders of absence.
The dream was only
a fragile thing
swallowed by oblivion,
buried deep
in the corridors of forgetting.
You saw it once,
for a passing instant,
then it flew away
on the wing of a fleeting spark,
with a sudden breeze
that left behind
only a hidden trace.
A dream reduced to
a single white mark
on the yellowed page of life—
it greets you suddenly
as a beloved friend,
or returns to you
wearing the shape of your own face.
It asks:
"Have you forgotten me?
I have grown older with you."
Yet you buried me too soon,
without a ceremony,
without prayers of farewell.
And you ask:
"Am I you? "
"I lost you decades ago.
I searched for you endlessly—
in the cracks of barren earth,
in the directions devoured by absence,
in the empty spaces where nothing remained
but the sound of footsteps.
Who am I, then?
I have grown without you.
I have crossed the years
without ever finding your shadow,
without our meeting
ever becoming whole."
What an extraordinary poem! You presented brilliantly how dreams affect us, how we pursue them, and how we silently abandoned them. Your philosophical mind shows its brightest in every fiber of this one of a kind work of art.

Another masterpiece! A favorite. Dreams that are never executed and attained make our soul restless. We could never attain our wholeness. Always wanderers.
