O sky, you are endless,
but colourful to us.
People say your colour
is blue, but I see you
in many different hues.
Arithmetic fails to
measure your length,
breadth and height.
But you pervade over
us with all your might.
Every evening many
white flowers bloom
in your massive lap.
But all of them fade
as the day-breaks.
Although you harbor
many lamps, two are
gigantic in your garden.
When one extinguishes,
the other automatically
burns.
From you, a bird
does not have to
take permission.
The wings are its own
and it knows that the
sky belongs to none.
You can see all of us
from such a great distance;
your clouds rain over us.
Your blessing is indispensable
for our sustenance.
