The Star-Crossed Love Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Star-Crossed Love

Rating: 5.0

The feelings of your gentle heart and of mine
mergedtogether to water the lovely plant
which grew to bear the flowers of love,
smelling sweet to make our thoughts and dreams broad.
Happier was our meeting in stealth but sadder
was the parting that lingers long in our hearts
to offer peace and comfort till our last breath.
The blossoms with heavenly splendour
never wither unless they are star-crossed.
The brutal humans know not how love starts
but know well to nip it and crush it under their feet.
The honesty of the spiritual lovers shames
the vice of thefettered minds of the vile vipers.
