A lover's hand a lover's eye
Has cast a spell upon the sky,
Where'er I go I think of you
A dream I wished has now come true,
I know my thoughts shall never stray
But rest with you and always stay,
The stars have never shone so bright
Upon this clear and crystal night.

For joy has filled the heavens above
And every star a star of love,
As if for me they all were made
I hope their light will never fade,
They glisten in their majesty
The greatest sight I'll ever see,
For I know now that while they shine
That I am yours and you are mine.

I wish this night would never end
For it bequeathed a lasting friend,
Yet know that soon the dawn shall rise
And sun will fill the morning skies,
But I will wake with happy cheer
For you my love shall still be here,
No dream at last this time for real
For love I know I truly feel.
