The Steal Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Steal

The eyes flood
and overflow
Salty tears
The heart beats
A stormy rage
Deeper and deeper
it goes into its deepness
and contaminates
like flies
gathering upon a watermelon
with greedy intent
Senses refuse acknowledgement
of what they know
Like running away
from someone or something
that might hurt you
You run as fast as you can
Someone is trying to break into
your house
and steal everything from you!
