The Striped Shirt Poem by Tiffany Wolf

The Striped Shirt

Rating: 5.0

Black makes your blue eyes pop,
And the green makes me melt.
That balck and green striped shirt,
You can't even imagine how I felt.
The shirt made your muscles exxagerate,
And my heart started to race.
I saw the shirt start to move,
So I quickened my pace.
You looked back,
And I wondered what to do.
I said, 'Hi, '
And you confessed, ' I Love You.'
Me,
This little girl, A year younger?
'Yes, you,
I want you to feed my hunger! '
How would I do that,
I didn't know.
But I do think,
That striped shirt has got to go!
It makes me weak in the knees,
And soft to the touch.
I love that striped shirt,
I love it way too much!
But one day it ended,
Because you said goodbye.
But I couldn't speak,
All I said was, 'Why? '
You said you found work,
In a place far far away,
You said I could come,
But we both knew I had to stay.
I couldn't leave everyone,
Especially not my friends.
You would stay for a while,
But they will be here 'til all ends.
Now everywhere I go,
Guess what I see.
That shirt with those colors,
Depressing black and envious green.
