The Tempest. Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Tempest.

Rating: 5.0

No justice, no peace
The gangrene of ''laissez faire':
'Let all crime and illegality
Do as it please, '
Is deftly, cruelly upon us!
But just does not work
Even when called,
'Democratic'
Any negative 'garbage'
Would still smell, the same
The stench of doing,
Nothing!
Does ascertain that
There is no Law and Order
And that Justice is just
A word, used in some
Distant past
But that today is forgotten
In the blind tentative
To try and drown
All decency and goodness,
Hiding behind very dark
And terrifying clouds
That announce a Tempest
Like never before, ever had.

Sadly, you capture the substance of our times. You do it in a clear, brilliant, necessary, piercing way!
