The Treasure That Is Love Poem by Lora Colon

The Treasure That Is Love

Rating: 5.0

Lengthening shadows were falling
When a spirit voice spoke in my ear:
'Treasure the love you were given....
Love born of a heavenly sphere

Bow down before love and worship,
See the beauty it brings to your soul,
Watch it as it changes your life....
As all of its wonders unfold

Hold this love in your hands gently -
Like a dove with a broken wing,
Bring love to your ear and listen,
If you're quiet, you'll hear it sing

Throw down your gold and your silver,
Cast aside all foolish treasure,
If love is flowing through your life,
You are rich beyond all measure'

So I treasure this precious love,
Each day, the mystery I retell.....
From the shadows, his love emerged,
And with me it chose to dwell
