The Value Of A Poet
Science is bliss a wishful thought only
All the clever men lured for life and big money
but Shakespeare never rushed after life's comfort and luxury
Though he had a good enough intellect and high memory
yet he worked as a gardener and took the world as garden
and plucked the flowers of hearts and weaved a garland
Of love to decorate the walls of the destitute world
Before the fall of apples, the fall of man needed
To be reason out how men like Adam and
Macbeth fell from level so high, so man badly needs food
Of thought for his mind, peace and love for his heart
Before the Steve Jobs’ I phone or Bill Gates’ Microsoft,
If you are never moved, heart to heart never connect
I wonder what jobs are done by cyber net
What more value does it carry before a poet?
a different write indeed! the long lines are composed with a balanced beats arrangement which is natural! though i am not clear whether the fall of apples is a phrase; in the last 4 lines the argument is well-presented, cybernet, as a channel of mass-comm. connects the poet to many hearts. the poem is short but has a vast canvas from Shakespeare and Milton to Steve Job and Bill Gates! ! !

A beautiful tribute to poets. Poetry feeds the mind and gives peace and love to the heart of mankind. Poets have an awesome responsibility. Love the comparrisons between scientist and poet. Also love the depth here. And this makes me want to read some Shakesperian history. Extremely good.
Poet's reach is wide now with computer and internet. It also brings the responsibility. Science opens up for poet hiding in each person. Thank you for the nice poem.
