Poet's laurel crowns every sage
unwinding the serpentine skein of thread
that weaves the many colored cloak
of metaphor's fine and mystical web
Lacing dunes of ribboned sand
into the fleeting thoughts of man
Waves of ocean that ebb and flow
our sorrows and joys that come and go
And sunny beams to radiantly pour
outward from the human heart
revealing One omnipotent light
