There Along The Shore … Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

There Along The Shore …

Rating: 5.0

Collecting shells upon the beach,
Tide's gone out,
The sky is blue,
Those golden days are far from reach,
When I would walk along with you,
Faint voices fill the morning air,
A mother passes by with child,
Chatting together,
Such love they share,
It brings tears to my eyes,
Reminders of those special years,
When we walked along just like them,
Your smiling face looked down to mine,
I'd love to do it once again,
Sadly it is time to go,
I head off home along the shore,
This moment i am so alone,
My loving mum I miss you so.

It is so painfully hard to lose our irreplicable loved ones. A beautifully felt and perfectly expressed poem written with the heart more than the pen. I feel the same way. Thank you, Jayne.
