Thicker Than Blood Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Thicker Than Blood

The blood is thicker than water
As many people do proclaim;
The brothers and sisters in flesh
Never put each other to shame.

The red blood that runs through their veins
Is flowing through their own parent;
The beat of each and every heart
Reveals the true bonding moment.

No one can break the foundation
Of the love for one another;
Yes, they always want to establish
That blood is thicker than water.

But there is greater than this kind
Of human link that is so deep;
It is God and the chosen ones
Who are called as the Savior's sheep.

Yes, the Father's sons and daughters
Must follow the will of one God;
It is their paramount duty,
Because it is thicker than blood.
