Things Will Never Be The Same Again Poem by Gita Ashok

Things Will Never Be The Same Again

Non-stop crying,
sleepless nights,
changing and feeding,
feeling exhausted.

Running around,
throwing tantrums,
crying and fussing,
demanding attention.

Refusing to wake up -
not interested in school.
Yelling and shouting,
wanting to be left alone.

To much homework
but I want to do no more
‘Tom and Jerry’ on television –
so leave me alone.

Ready for a cricket match
out in the hot sun.
Shopping? No, never!
Playing is more fun.

Board exam this year
So study, study, study!
But I want to watch
‘Suite Life of Zach and Cody’.

Another board exam here.
Concentrate, study, focus!
But what about my friends,
Farmville and ‘Friends’?

Well, these are real-life situations
of every mother and son.
Things will never be the same again -
So why not have some fun?
