Thinning Of A Line Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Thinning Of A Line

Rating: 5.0

Blurred.
Is the chirping of the birds.
Blurred.
Is any progress made.
Towards a future fading away.
Blurred.
Is a sky once blue.
Too polluted to see.
Too polluted is the water.
Too polluted and shouldn't be.

Nothing heard to say today.
Is understood.
Understanding like it use to be,
To have it comprehended.
Is not understood to hear.
But becomes pretended.
As something that offends to defend.

Blurred.
Are the minds unwinding.
Blurred.
Are the eyes too blind.
Seeing a thinning of a line.
Blurring a sanity to leave behind.
Blurred.
To become submerged.
What had been reality.
Blurred.
To become submerged.
Trees and the air we breathe.
Thinning,
Of a line that blinds.
A truth to be.
Today no one can see.
To believe.
Thinning,
Of a line that blinds.
Humanity.
Thinning,
Of a line that blinds.
Thinning.
Thinning,
Of a line that blinds.
Mankind.
