Third Eye Of Creation - Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

The three eyed god lord Shiva sits in his abode and meditates
As the world lives at peace,
Locked within his third eye is the all consuming fire
As the world remains ignorant of its sins;

He has mastered every sense and conquered death
As the world is incapable of doing both,
He consumed the fatal hala hala during the churning of the ocean
As the three worlds remained at his mercy for survival;

Covered with ashes and wearing the serpent
He bore the weight of the Ganges within his matted locks,
As the world remained at his mercy for salvation;

The great lord of all yogis sleeps
Allowing the great preserver to balance the polarity,
As the creator waits to construct a better world from the spoils;

When that time comes Kalabhairava will perform his thandava
Then will the third eye release the burden of centuries,
The world will fade again into deep sleep
Until the creator winds the pendulum of cyclic time;

The lord of time will then resume his penance
As lord Vishnu preserves balance in the cosmic fugue.
