Those Who Believe They Are Ageless - Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The streets are full with aging teenagers.
And those who believe they are ageless!
Irresponsible and socializing their whims.
Those who can not get enough of 'happy hour'...
24/7 and some!
Those are the ones who befriend their children,
With a lack of parenting and a breakdown of discipline!
Those are the ones who confront teachers,
To defend their disrespecting children...
As if that is an honor to show up,
After their offspring have been tossed out!
And those are the ones shouting the loudest.
They can not understand why their children aren't learning!
Those are the ones...
Who do not listen.
But argue their voices aren't being heard!

This piece has hit the nail on the head. Excellent.

Reminds me of a comedian i saw on video not long ago. (Bernie Mac) . He says: What's happened to 'Big Momma' you just don't see her any more. If you said anything out of place or were impolite Big Momma was on you like a ton of dirt, and probably got a back-hander across the back of the head. But these days as he proceeds to tell the story. 'How old is Big Momma nowadays 32/33 maybe.....With I ain't babysitting S***.'

It's all stemming from young mums who want a 'relationship' with their kids. It just doesn't work. Discipline first the do's and dont's. Then start a relationship with your children. It all starts with respecting your parents if they don't do that they aren't going to respect anyone. (God did i write all that...Sorry. Rant
