Thunder Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Thunder

Thunder

"Am afraid, "
"Am afraid, "

Said the kid:
"Of thunder! "

Felt sorry, explained:
"It is short, goes away."

"That is why am afraid, "
Said the child, orated:
"Is base of troubles,
Can harm, spark fires,
And then go, runs away
Like never existed…"

Talked with him in solemn:
"But there is no thunder,
So, what is the matter? "

"Guess you too, are blind
Like the ones in palace
Living on our blood,
Vampires, full of lies…"

Stopped him with anger,
Felt being insulted:
"Me? That is a mistake! "

"Danger is in silence! "
He told me, I wondered,
Loved him, his smartness.

Looked at me right in eyes:
"Do you see the murder
Of Blacks, Indigenous?
And helpless, forgotten? "

"Yes, I have! "

"Did nothing? Dangerous! "

People are afraid of thunder. All should be away from racism. People should love each other. There should be mutual respect and understanding. This poem is nicely penned.
