Times Ticking Pantomime Poem by Shaun Cronick

Times Ticking Pantomime

Rating: 5.0

My time is my natural enemy,
My time is so quick and cruel.
My time is simply my Nemesis,
My time treats me like a fool.

My job is more than demanding,
Its hours are long and hard.
And when I'm finally free from it,
Time flies with no regard.

I wish I could stop the clock,
To halt times ticking pantomime.
Then do what I really want to do,
To write poetry at any time.

A fascinating poem. A poem that resonates with me and I think majority if not all can relate. Yes, we are slaves of time.It manipulates us all. Brilliantly penned.

Thank you Rose Marie for your kind, inspiring and uplifting comment. And alas, if only it were true for all of us to write poetry till the end of time. I thank you again good Rose Marie and take care.
