To A Certain Lady Poem by Tom Billsborough

To A Certain Lady

Your smile is my subliminal light.
Your voice the chlorophyll,
Instilling growth
Within the garden of my dreams.
What flowers I presume to raise,
I raise for you and you alone.
My neurons sing like happy bees
And may my honeyed tones
Touch you as you touch me.

I was thinking of women in general and the delightful effect they mostly have on me. I sometimes wonder what you Ladies see in us men though!

You are unexpected- -again. How in the world did you take the most unromantic words [ subliminal light, chlorophyll, , Instilling growth, presume ] and make a beautiful bouquet of.love like this? ? ? ? ? ? ? ! ! ! ! ! My neurons sing like happy bees And may my honeyed tones Touch you as you touch me. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Tis the sweetest blooming love poem I have read in a long long time! ! !

Tom, I love your sustained plant metaphor - simple and powerful. Let your love bloom!

Somebody bought me some seeds in the Spring. They've bloomed well. So this is a kind of thank you.
