To If Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

To If

Rating: 5.0

To If appears not on my wish list.
Nor is there a maybe.
Or a perhaps.
To look back upon to have it scratched.

Seldom had I been,
Indecisive not to know...
Which next step to take to start over,
Again.
Unless an obstacle I face,
Is surrounded by steel.
And no matter what it takes,
I'm not that fool to 'if' with wishes...
That faith alone could eliminate it,
To erase and make it disappear.
I keep my wants and needs reasonable.
And limited to what I'm capable to do.
However...
Kept determination with an unrelenting,
Stubborn mentality.
I will find a way to convince someone,
That with assistance...
Anything is possible to remove.
As long as it is not to 'if'it done.
