To Know 'everything' Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

To Know 'everything'

No one lives growing,
To know 'everything'.
Even those wise to have earned wisdom,
Will be the first to admit,
Living to learn...
Is an unending process.
And being ignorant about 'something',
Has its benefits.
If one is determined to learn.
From anyone on a daily basis.
Regardless what impression they may make.

To know 'everything',
Is impossible to argue the possibility of it.
Whether certified to qualify,
A having intelligence or not.
Thinking never stops.
For the ones who allow,
Themselves perceived to be as dumb as a rock!
There will always be someone,
Ignorant enough to prove they are not.
While observing to watch,
The movements made by another.

"If you are so wise,
To trip over shoes left untied.
Worn on your own feet not to notice this.
Have you done this to experience,
Your own public embarrassment?
Or a teaching of a lesson to prove to who? "

-Only a fool would await to choose,
To belittle others.
In the way you've done to do.
Me?
I'm not embarrassed at all.
Learning I will continue to do.
How about you? -

"And...
What is 'that' suppose to mean?
Knee dropper!
LOL..."
