Tomorrow; that cad,
That scourge of intention,
Apathy and lethargy,
His evil twin henchmen.
Blighting resolve,
With self-justification,
Breeding deferral,
And chronic stagnation.
The author of “one more”
And “The very last one”,
“Tomorrow it starts”
But ne’er will it come.
A mirage to the masses,
And those who yearn,
With false reassurance,
And grounds to adjourn.
But take heart and listen,
Keep Tomorrow at bay,
Just set your allegiance,
With his nemesis; Today.
For Today is an activist,
With pre-emptive action,
Curtailing Tomorrow,
And his languid faction.
And so go ahead;
Stand proudly and say,
“I will live out my dreams”;
Starting Today.
