When the sun has set
I forgot to see,
or was obsessed in
another whim,
I can't say.
The circle of
a condensed bluish-black
has just jumped in
the darkening green.
The bushes, shrubs
nature's own children
are touching my feet
with their wet noses,
cool yet soothing
for my feverish soul.
Down there more Oaks,
Pines, Birches are
to bid me evening
along with the homeward swallows.
A smoky fog coming up
from the deep ditch
and the rings
going up to stick
to the frozen leafy sky.
The call once I heard,
or the talks all,
got vanished in
the upward rings of smoke
or drowned deep in the ditch.
History wiped out
and the pages may not
be turned ever.
But, the image of
a never-ending embrace
and imagined love
will come before the
closed eyes.
********X****************
Tonight, there won't be
any star overhead.
The eyes of the sky
may not hold the
burden for long.
I'll weep
tonight.
