Too Young And Too Shy
It was easier to say goodbye
than stand there clumsy
19 and shy
You said "Hello"
My mouth went dry
If only I had thought of a witty reply
There might have been a you and I
But those crystal blue eyes looking my way
made my knees go weak
and my body sway
That's why I ran away
I still regret it to this day
An honest recall of a chance for love which passed you by. To regret is natural.
