Richard, this one goes right to my favourites list. There is a great rhythm to this verse. There's a great, sly observation here, too. In a way, this is also about relationships. When something ascends, another element or thing descends. Life is a rhythm, life is a pattern. Nothing is static. Brilliant, Richard.

Ups and Downs of Life But when we think of others strife Sometimes ours is not that bad..... However, your feelings are well presented in this poem and felt by the reader. The uselessness of it all......

As always, thank you for the poetic response, Sandra. And the beat goes on. And as we march to the beat of a different drummer, we conquer the uselessness of it all! !
