Tortured Mind Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Tortured Mind

Rating: 5.0

Went to bed
In a rage
Dulled thinking
'bout the killing

Ten years old
Not even teen
Where's her playground?

Eighteen years old
Prime girl in her teens
Where is her life's dream?

Twenty-nine years old
Nineteen more than child
Decade and more than teen
Tortured mind killed their dreams

Young lives taken so early are always hard to accept no matter the circumstances.

So very true, Carl! Young lives stolen because of messed up politics!

Mentally unsound or mentally sick patients all are tortured minds. Though, we are anguished at the innocent deaths, we must admit the parent's or the society's failure to inculcate right values and attitude in such killers. A poignant critique of the situation.

Rajnish, he was a danger to himself and to society while he was in highschool. The system failed him due to lack of resources.

Tortured mind killed their dreams and this was so sad. This poem is very thought provoking and sensitive. Anger and mental illness bring such situations. We offer our prayer for goodness and peace of all children across the world. An amazing sharing is done here...10

Kumarmani, thank you so very much for your prayer. May we all pray for the innocent children. And thank you for your very positive feedback.
