Touched By Darkness In My Dreams Poem by Ayman Parray

Touched By Darkness In My Dreams

Rating: 5.0

I lie in rapture and her beautiful black eyes,
Remind of dark clouds gathering in the skies
That girl in my dreams is a Raven that screams,
In the darkness a path lit by silvery moonbeams
A stream glistening in the moonlit night flows,
In the darkness it leaves a trail, her hair glows
I follow her path leaving my soul behind,
In the deepest abyss is it true love I find
A kiss from her lips, the sweetest poisoned wine,
The touch of her skin sends shivers down my spine
The mark of the beast upon her head
I lie next to her and am already dead
She whispers the words in my ear and I am blind,
I do love you with my heart, body, soul and mind
For when touched by death, yourself you do know,
Always in the light, life a clear path does not show

An intense poem that showcases the extremities of life, the joy and sorrow of dreams. Dreams can be rapturous or can engulf one in dark clouds. Excellent Ayman!
