Tough times?
Many born to know them,
Have accepted to believe...
What is tough,
And presents itself...
As an obstacle.
Is another day of life to face.
In a place they have known,
As home.
Enduring injustices of all kinds!

Tough times?
Hmmm...
Only those given choices.
And opportunites,
From which to pick.
With a getting of entitlements,
Neither to deserve...
Or proven to have earned them.
Are the ones taught to perceive,
Others who have performed...
Duties both civic and patriotic,
Should beg for acceptance.
And approval.
From those who have obtained,
Status and wealth.
With kept pretensions,
To charade...
A doing kept,
Amongst themselves.
That they can pay,
Someone else to rough it up.
While accepting,
Being discredited.
For their contributions made,
Gone historically ignored!
