It was a summer of copper hued water flowing gently
...With the sounds of mandolins in the air...
An ambience embellished with vibrant colour
And me with purple ribbon's in my hair.
It was a glorious summer of pure sunshine
With warming beams from an azure blue tinted sky
Flushed with sweet birds of song and longing
.....Encouraging me to take wing and fly.
It was a perfect day of romance and joy
.....Bathed in loves warmest of touch...
Filled to the brim with the most divine love
Nestled here, all cozy, but missing you so much.
It was a most brilliant memory of a day
.....Delighting in daydreams of you and i
Counting down the seconds 'til autumn wakes anew
Awaiting Falls most amber of skies.
It was Mount Olympus most majestic
.....Set in an Indian summer for just we two
..........Upon a road you paved in gold
And a recognition of a sweet love i have for you.

A wonderful poem-when we see the face of nature and feel her blessing on love...we have a memory whiches causes a longing! Really great poetry.
Thank you so very much Bill! You are very kind and your words give me encouragement - I admire much of your poetry...must apologize for too frequent absences-illness has kept me away.
