Transition (February) Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Transition (February)

From a stinging cold it shifts
To a coldness less cold
Still cold but not cold enough
To make you cold right through bones
A few birds back on their perches
As if the worst is over for the trees
A song escapes the lips, a fantasy flings the window wide open expecting change along the misty lanes.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Yes, dear poetess: Let our windows be open to welcome a season that is warm. Preserve the warmth for the next chilling winter

Loved the description of the transition of easing winter. Now leaves will sprout on the deciduous trees and in a month, blossoms would appear. Then Spring, the Queen of All Seasons would make her Majestic Entry.

A season change for good always brings forth a change in the mood and the mindset- the mind's window wide open. Nice write
