Truth Bleeds Lies - Poem by Andi Jakobs
Black skies will cloud the earth and fire shall rain down as ash.
Wake up in a dream of the world becoming as noting, lost forever.
The ground shall crack and demons shall spill from the slits of hell.
The angels from above will stare in horror of this mess we call life.
Fire will burn all the left remains of a once great civilization.
Demons shall rule over the earth, and we will be as slaves to them.
The lost will die, they will scream as a scabbard slits their throat.
What could we do, we are only mere souls in a black heart.
The once breathtaking blue skies will suffocate in all the smoke of hell.
The wings of the angels will wilt and turn gray as they have lost hope as well.
The earth I walk is burned and dead.
Can we not live with demons in ourselves?
What is it that we cannot admit to our souls, the truth?
The lost word hinders in the thoughts of all who perish in this wasteland.
What is truth, can someone tell us, tell this world?
We know not the truth, only the daggers of lies that pin us down to this hell.
Cannot one being bring light again to our worlds, can they bring us truth?
Eyes with no face to match watch us in our dismay.
There is but one who will save us all, who will cast away demons.
I pray for the day that the savior will finally come for us.
