Truth Needs Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

"Truth" needs no definition
Monday,11th April 2019

It shall be wrong on our part
to take different views and depart
from universally accepted norms
it surely harms

it can be seen with naked eyes
and felt within without any try
darkness and brightness do appear
and cause the untruth to disappear

it is our fault
that fear is inbuilt
and we quickly accept untruth
without ascertaining the truth

Even though. if it is repeated hundred times
people give credence sometimes
but the truth appears at a later stage
brushing aside lies with the clear edge

the truth remains there as daylight
people may feel it is "right"
as light needs no definition
it is taken as self-ignition
