Tu Fu By Li Po Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Tu Fu By Li Po

Rating: 5.0

Foreword:
I cannot find Day's End by Tu Fu, that's why I publish now Li Po's poem about Tu Fu. How can I give comments for a poem I cannot find? True impossible, my poet's heart has done that in this way. Thank you for understanding.

I cite the whole poem by Li Po for Tu Fu:

I met Tu Fu on a mountaintop
in August when the sun was hot.

Under the shade of his big straw hat
his face was sad--

in the years since we last parted,
he'd grown wan, exhausted.

Poor old Tu Fu, I thought then,
he must be agonizing over poetry again.
