Turning Heads Lifestyle Elite Or Deleted Poem by Terence George Craddock

Turning Heads Lifestyle Elite Or Deleted

Rating: 5.0

in life we may wear many heads lifestyle disguise changes
ever noticed how clothes define exhibit bounce expensive styles
to head of waiting queues straight pass prestige locked doors

a man can have many heads but is defined by first impression clothes appeals even as a headless personality he is well dressed rich prosperous
will be paid for appearances sit in expensive restaurants eat free meals

how many heads must a man or a woman have to count important
just one head the head of privilege power can open all empire doors
heads are coded in values precise incorporating complex social content

where will you place importance based upon poverty
where will you place importance based upon fashion
where will you place importance based upon materialism

economic survival an impossible struggle or jetsetter lifestyle
where do you sit check your seat luxury throne or dirty crate box
need to be accepted referencing social rules acceptance within society

or name nameless on list qualifying for food aid or soup kitchen
brand name prestige advertising partner marriage choice motivation
none of this appeals to homeless about to be police beaten polite

reminder to move on vagrant has overstayed tolerance welcome
lacking settled home clean clothes regular work concrete street wanders
from place to place lives begging dies nameless death place paint tagged

philosophical issues deal within socioeconomic factors pressures
deal with profit studies class privilege cultural capital economic lives
within subject education and society reestablishes elite status quo

where are you wine soaked rummy your off voting political list
the real deal nowhere man woman everyone likes to see to see through
discarded humanity must be kept in slums less expensive than prison

It is incumbent upon the poor beggar to demand social just or die trying because either way he is dead anyway. Great poem.
