Rowving Smith

Un Met - Poem by Rowving Smith

I was there standing alone
My eyes searching
Sweeping the crowd
A non stop stream flowing by

Pacing up and pacing down
Along the platform of the bus stop
Looking for you looking for you
The girl I never met

Who says the light travels straight
If that is so how did I see
The girl wearing yellow
In the middle of that crowd

There you were lighted up in yellow
Black flowing hair framing your face
A smile on you lips eyes roaming around
Looking around and looking afar

Leaning on one foot
Slowly turning your head
Yes our eyes met
And my heart stopped

A moment so beautiful
A moment so short
A moment that will
Never leave my heart....!

[Somethings are never to be held; but glanced at]
