Underdogs Poem by Lauren Coles

Underdogs

Football is my favorite team sport,
There's no team without the players,
You need someone to push you to your limits,
High school football is literally learning the game it's self,
The companies need to make helmets more sustainable because it's young people who suffer,
Parents say they don't want them to play sports but how do parents think that their kids suppose to be smart and safe,
Two players go head to head,
On the snap players sometimes drop the ball in the mud because it's too slippery,
Coaches should pat their players on the back for effort since most players don't get support from their parents,
Players should walk on the field with a smile on their face and walk off the field with a smile,
Thanks goodness for game footage showing their mistakes,
It's the lessons they learn from each other that makes them underdogs.
