Undone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Undone

There is so much to do,
To be undone.
So much of it has left,
Many from it run.
There is so much that must be overcomed.
That has affected.
Minds disconnected.

Truth.
Once known to be effective.
Has left defective.
Minds disconnected.
Lies.
Excuses made and alibis.
Has left defective.
Minds disconnected.

Undone.
There's so much that needs to be,
Undone.
There's so much that's left to be,
Undone.
There's so much that's left the people,
On the run.
Afraid of what's to come.
But...
A better way to live life has been,
Undone.
A better way to live won't ever,
To anybody come.
If...
Left undone.
By those on the run.
