Avec deux roses blanches aux seins,
Des bougies blanches a la tete et aux pieds,
Madone noire de la tombe elle se repose;
Le Seigneur Mort l'a trouvee douce.

Sa mere a mis en gage son anneau nuptial
Pour la coucher en blanc;
Elle serait si fiere qu'elle danserait et chanterait
de se voir cette nuit.
